How to check the Wireless Lan driver version

    Resolution:

Windows Vista / Windows 7

  1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Device Manager
  2. Click + Network adaptors and choose the Wireless Adapter (Atheros / Intel / Realtek) i.e. Atheros AR9280



  3. Right click on the Wireless Adapter for Properties



  4. Choose "driver" tab



  5. Now you can see the "Driver version"

Windows XP

  1. Go to Start -> Connect To -> Wireless Network Connection.
  2. Click "Change advanced settings".
  3. Click "configure" and choose "driver" tab.
  4. Check for "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless XXXX".
  5. For Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2100 LAN 3B Mini PCI Adapter, make sure the driver version is like "1.2.4.41".
    For Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection or Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection, make sure the driver version is like "9.0.4.17".
    For Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection or Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945BG Network Connection, make sure the driver version is like "10.5.1.59". 

Windows XP(Classic Start menu)

  1. Go to Start  ->  Settings -> Network Connections.
  2. Choose "Wireless Network Connection" and right-click for Properties.
  3. Click "configure" and choose "driver" tab.
  4. Check for "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless XXXX".
  5. For Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2100 LAN 3B Mini PCI Adapter, make sure the driver version is like "1.2.4.41".
    For Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection or Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection, make sure the driver version is like "9.0.4.17".
    For Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection or Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945BG Network Connection, make sure the driver version is like "10.5.1.59". 

Windows 2000

  1. Go to Start -> Settings -> Network and Dial-up Connections -> Local Area Connection (or Local Area Connection 2).
  2. Click "configure" and choose "driver" tab.
  3. Check for "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless XXXX".
  4. For Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2100 LAN 3B Mini PCI Adapter, make sure the driver version is like "1.2.4.41".
    For Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection or Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection, make sure the driver version is like "9.0.4.17".
    For Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection or Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945BG Network Connection, make sure the driver version is like "10.5.1.59".
