    Resolution:

The BIOS update procedure on the  Toshiba "NB100" in combination with the "Ubuntu Linux" operating system differs from the procedure on "Windows" operating systems.

Please follow the guide below to update your BIOS to the latest version with "Ubuntu Linux":

1. Download the latest BIOS version from the drivers download website -> http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_bios.jsp

2. Unzip the "*.sh" file (e.g. "ARL160.sh") from the zip file into a folder of your "home" directory (e.g. /myuser/Documents):

3. Right-click on the BIOS file, in this example named "ARL160.sh" and left-click on "Open" in the appearing context menu:

4. Click on "Run in Terminal" in this dialog box to run the BIOS update:

5. The dialog box in this picture asks for your user password to confirm the execution of the file. Please type your user password and confirm with "OK" to execute the BIOS update procedure:

6. The BIOS update procedure could take some time; please don't turn off your machine  and don't start any other applications which may interrupt the BIOS update procedure.

The machine restarts itself automatically after completing the BIOS update.
