* Not available on all models
The BIOS Setup feature Battery Disconnect can be accessed via the sub menu Advanced.
Using Software based process, this feature is disconnecting the battery entirely from the system, similar to a physical disconnect.

In case a system is stored for a longer time and battery won't be charged during this time, this feature should be enabled. For example, enabling this feature can help to avoid an over discharge of the battery,
which is affecting the overall condition of the battery and might lead to a replacement.
Note: As soon as this feature has been enabled within the BIOS Setup utility and settings have been saved, the system can only be powered on while connecting the AC adapter (similar to factory shipped condition).
